BREAKING NEWS!!! Veteran Journalist Joe Kadhi Is Dead

The media industry in Kenya has been hit with a sad news as veteran journalist Joe Kadhi has died this morning.

According to the family, Joe Kadhi died at the Nairobi hospital while receiving treatment.

In line with the Muslim customs, the veteran journalist will be buried later today.

Joe was popularly known amongst the nation as “the godfather of print media”, the veteran journalist taught at the Universities of Nairobi and Addis Ababa before heading to the United States International University- Africa (USIU), where he retired after a 20-year stint, which made this journalism career a distinguished one.

His successful career earned him the lifetime award at the 2015 Media Council’s Annual Journalism Excellence Awards.

He also chaired the editorial board of the Media Observer magazine.

Linus Kaikai, a seasoned journalist hailed Kadhi as a mentor, professional guardian, and legendary trainer.

“Sad day. Veteran journalist Joe Kadhi has passed on. We have lost a mentor, professional guardian, legendary trainer and a pioneer of the golden generation,” Kaikai tweeted.
