Junior Graphic Designer at Planate Management Group

Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

The Graphic Designer will be responsible for the images, layouts, and other designs based on the requests of internal stakeholders. The position has a critical function for the development of the overall layout and production design for advertisements, brochures, magazines, and Planate Corporate reports.

This is a full-time job, home-based support.

Key responsibilities:

• Collaborate with different groups in the organization to conceptualize and produce visual materials for internal and external use:
• Banners, posters, marketing materials, organizational charts, business cards, flipbook/magazine, e-newsletter, presentation materials, Word documents, animated graphics
• Create designs, concepts, and layouts based on company branding
• Attend meetings of ‘internal clients’ to determine the scope of work and specific client needs
• Contribute to creative concept development for print, video, and the web
• Deepen knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications To be successful in the role: 

• Bachelor of Arts in Graphics Design or any design-related field
• At least 3 to 5 years’ work experience specializing in graphics design/ creative/ arts or equivalent
• A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
• Additional design software is a plus
• Reasonable ability to follow complex written and oral instructions
