After numerous posts about a big announcement by singer Bahati, it’s official that his wife, YouTuber Diana Marua, is the latest female rapper in town.
The unexpected revelation came to light at the TradeMark hotel, Nairobi, on Sunday evening, where the new rapper, going by her stage name ‘Diana B’, performed her first song Hatutaachana.
The event was attended by a couple of celebrities including comedian Eric Omondi, singer Ringtone, YouTuber the WaJesus family, among others.
In videos shared on her Instagram, Diana, dressed in a sexy three-piece silver outfit paired with black and silver boots and stockings, made her debut as a rapper and entertained the crowd that cheered her on.

While introducing his wife to the music industry, Bahati posted a video of her performance and captioned, “I present to you Kenya’s no.1 female rapper.”
On Monday morning, Diana released the official video for her new song on YouTube and has so far garnered 27,900 views in two hours.
Diana’s debut as a rapper seems to have elicited mixed reactions from fans and fellow celebrities who took to the comment section and shared their views.
Singer Akothee said, “Congratulations Sanaa all women pray to have a supportive husband like you be blessed Sanaa.”
YouTuber Mill WaJesus commented, “Congratulations and all the best in your new journey. You nailed it.”
One of her fans by the name Ndinda Cynthia said, “Eeeish am proud of you. you have been my role model and you will forever be am even lacking words right now but to be honest you deserve everything good that is happening to you to more wins. I love you.”
Another fan, Jaber Malkia said, “Congratulations darling. I love your spirit, continue working hard I love you so much and I’ll always be your number one fun.”
Other fans even went ahead and compared her to rappers Cardi B and Nicki Minaj.
Some were, however, not impressed with Diana’s debut as a rapper.
I Almost Committed Suicide Because Of City Hall Troubles – Sonko
Mike Sonko, a former Nairobi Governor has revealed that troubles at work almost led him to commit suicide.
Mike Sonko made this shocking revelation on Thursday.
Taking to his social media, the former county boss while eulogising Capital FM’s DJ Lithium who passed on on Wednesday, narrated how an incident with his inner circle left him feeling used and desperate.
“There was a time I almost committed suicide at City Hall after realising that my close friends at the county assembly and one from EALA sold me out. They incited and advised me to pick a fight with the Head of State over the changes at City Hall,” he said.
Without divulging much, Sonko seemed to be explaining how he was duped to hurl insults, which led to his eventual exit.
He explains he was left in the shadows while his perpetrators plotted his dismissal behind his back.
“It’s true, as men we go through a lot but watch out for friends who are not genuine and want you to sink,” he wrote.
Adding: “I couldn’t believe that my silent enemies were my own friends.”
The flamboyant politician further urged men to open up to each other and seek help whenever they face challenges.
“Men, when you undergo depression, open up to your friends like women do for each other,” he appealed.
Comedian MC Jessy Seeks Parliamentary Seat After Joining UDA
Popular Kenyan comedian Jasper Muthomi aka MC Jessy on Wednesday officially joined the United Democratic Alliance (UDA.
The comedian intents to run for the South Imenti parliamentary seat after joining the UDA party.
He described the UDA party as the ‘winning team,’ he also explained that he decided to join the UDA team after holding various consultative meetings with the people of South Imenti.
MC Jessy further stated that a call from Deputy President William Ruto was enough to convinced him that he had made the right choice.
“It’s now clear where the vision is heading. After many days of consultative meetings with my South Imenti people I have officially been invited to join UDA. The groundwork that has been done has finally landed on the side of winning team.
“When I got the call from the chief Hustler Inviting me, I had to heed my People’s call and his call to join the winning Team…and may the work of redefining South Imenti now begin,” he wrote on social media.
A number of celebrities and entertainers have recently announced their plans to seek elective seats as the country heads towards the elections.
The popular comedian is going for the Langata MP seat, now under youthful politician, Nixon Korir.
“I am going to be the next MP for Langata. Youth change your votes. Come and vote for us to build a new Langata. I am campaigning for myself. I am very serious; I am the next MP of Langata. Mark this day!”
