Nandy, Bill Nass Receive Hefty Wedding Gifts From Committee
On Saturday, Tanzanian celebrities songstress Nandy and rapper Bill Nass got married in a luxurious wedding which was well attended by close friends and family.
The newly wedded couple exchanged their vows at the KKKT Church in Mbezi Beach Dar es salaam as they are expecting to welcome their first child.
In Africa, gifting newly married couples culture is cherished, Nandy disclosed that she and her husband received Tsh106,806,500 (Sh5.4million) from their committee as a send-off gift.
In an Instagram post shared by Nandy, she was seen receiving the cheque from the wedding committee. She wore a blue Cinderella gown which made her beauty come alive.
According to the chairman, the committee also gifted the couple a car worth Tsh65million (Sh3.3 million).
“This is a small amount that was remaining, we will put it in their account. We felt like the cheque is not enough because they are artistes and they have a big team. With this gift, we have decided to also buy them a car which is worth Tsh65 million,” said the committee’s chairman.
On the wedding day, the Nimekuzoea crooner, real name, Faustina Charles Mfinanga, donned a sparkly, off-white, off-shoulder ball gown wedding dress and needed support from her bridesmaids to move around.
The newly wedded couple did their traditional wedding in Zanzibar four months ago and only announced the pregnancy news two weeks ago following their engagement in 2020.
Nandy and Bill Nass have been in an on-and-off relationship since their University days when they secretly dated before breaking up.
“Nandy and I broke up in 2017, actually a few months earlier, it’s just that we never made it official until the end of 2017. There were so many reasons why we couldn’t continue dating, one being that I was still in school and was trying to you know…. finish and all that,” said Bill Nass in an interview.
