  • Health Coaches
  • Southern Rx Pharmacy and Discovery Medical Suppliers
  • Home Care
  • Corporate Clinics

About Corporate Wellness
The primary function of Corporate Wellness is to deliver Discovery Health’s best in class, market-leading Wellness Screening Programme. Corporate Wellness gives our clients the tools and research to help them make their employees healthier, and therefore, help reduce costs related to healthcare, productivity, and absenteeism.
About Executive Wellness
Executive Wellness offers a personalized experience that provides individuals with support in all areas of mental and physical well-being, through a team of highly qualified experts with access to the latest health and wellness technology.
About Health Coaches
Health coaches is a service to promote sustained lifestyle change and support eligible members through behavioural coaching, benefit navigation, activation and on boarding. This team embrace a variety of models to help guide and support members by setting achievable health goals and building new habits.
Job Purpose
To manage operational implementation of risk strategic projects and legislated requirements, using effective and innovative operational methods. Align all areas to the strategic direction of the business, involving rigorous application of standards, meeting set targets and objectives and implementing best practice initiatives. To build, maintain and develop internal and external relationships within the division and broader industry.
Key Outputs
  • Providing effective leadership to ensure positive employee sentiment and high performing teams
  • Implementing effective and innovative operational processes while constantly ensuring high quality output and rigorous service delivery.
  • Implementing annual business, strategic and operational plans.
  • Building effective relationships, with internal and external stakeholders, to create strategies and translate these into effective deliverables to ensure successful execution thereof. This includes owning and chairing key forums.
  • Effective decision-making by applying entrepreneurial knowledge, “out of the box” thinking and weighing up the risks involved.
  • Ensuring the area’s compliance in line with the ISO 9001-2008 standard.
  • Ensure business process are aligned with industry clinical standards..

Essential:
  • Matric
Advantageous:
  • Degree or diploma in a Business related field
  • Clinical qualification (degree or diploma)
Knowledge required
Essential:
  • Intermediate Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • ISO 9001-2008 and quality management
  • SharePoint
  • Online collaboration platforms such MS Teams Skype, Zoom
  • Basic financial principles
Advantageous:
  • Knowledge of Health Coaching
  • Knowledge of Corporate and Executive Wellness Services
  • Knowledge of Discovery Products and Services across the group e.g. Discovery Health, Vitality, Life
Experience required
Essential:
  • Experience in data handling and statistics
  • 2 – 3 years leadership experience within an operations environment
  • 1 – 2 years experience implementing projects
  • 1 – 2 years Corporate experience
Advantageous:
  • Pre-existing Leadership experience within an Operations Manager role (further preference to Discovery Operations Manager experience)
  • Sales and Marketing experience
