The Africa Health Research Institute (AHRI) is looking for a dynamic professional research nurse will be responsible for the implementation of AHRI’s clinical research strategy under the Population Intervention Programme (PIP).

Specification
AHRI Is looking for a dynamic Professional Research Nurse who will be responsible for the implementation of AHRI’s Clinical Research Strategy under the Clinical Trials Unit (CTU); provide clinical care to research participants and ensure clinical governance standards are met in line with Good Clinical Practice guidelines. The incumbent is also required to collect and maintain quality data according protocol requirements. The role requires a professional with comprehensive technical knowledge related to clinical trials, who has an efficient and systematic approach, with the capacity to grow, learn and multitask. The position will be based at our Somkhele site.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications

1. Diploma or Degree in Nursing
2. Current registration with SANC as a Registered Nurse
3. Valid driver’s License
4. Computer Literacy (MS Office –Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
5. Fluency in English and Zulu
5. NIMART trained and experienced.

Minimum Experience

1. A minimum of 3-year recognizable nursing experience after registration as professional nurse with SANC, of which at least 1 year
must be experience working in a primary health care clinic.
2. Experience in providing HIV/TB and NCD’s treatment and care in a primary health care clinic
3. At least one year clinical research experience

7. Previous clinical research experience e.g. working in a clinical research project
8. Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team, flexible and a good team player

Your job

As a Care Team Senior Supervisor, you will be managing a team based in KL, Nairobi and Madrid. You will be responsible to motivate your own teams to ensure production levels and targets are achieved, to ensure effective processing controls are in place across locations, as well as championing efforts that achieve the highest possible levels of provider experience and satisfaction that enable the company to meet its growth and profit objectives.

Your role will be to:

Your profile

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience leading operational teams within the company or outside.

  • Experience in and passion for coaching, managing, developing, and motivating individuals and the team.
  • Experience in change and process improvement management – with a proven track record in improving customer service standards.
